I’ve been enjoying your Sharpie series. I have all the Spectrums so my Sharpies have kind of gone on the back burner. I think I’ll start pulling them out again. Also, they travel easier than all my Spectrum’s!

  • Sherry Corbett February 16, 2017, 9:51 am

So FUN!! I never would have thought of this! Does it ruin the markers?

    • Jennifer Stay February 16, 2017, 10:06 am

As long as you stick with alcohol to alcohol and water to water it shouldn’t ruin your markers. πŸ˜‰

  • Sherry Corbett February 16, 2017, 11:09 am

Love, love, love the dots in the shading! I am not very adventurous in my coloring, besides basic blending, but the dots in the shading and the sharpie information is great!!!

  • Dr. Cathy Sparks February 20, 2017, 7:11 am

Watched all 7 videos. Love them, good info there. Since Sharpeis are alcohol based do you know if you can remove the nibs and add more rubbing alcohol to extend the life of the marker? I can do this with Copics, just wondered if you had any thoughts on it and do you know if refills ar available for sharpies like they care for copics?

    • Diane Merriam December 9, 2017, 4:21 pm

The Sharpies aren’t refillable, but you can pull the nibs out and use them to make alcohol ink – several used or just a few new soaked for a week or two in clear alcohol does the trick.

This was bar none, the best series of videos I have seen on working with sharpies! I just now completed the series, and had no idea I could get them to perform at these levels! As I’ve been playing, I’ve needed to go back and review the videos….so thanks a ton for keeping hem live! I’ve also referred some friends to your utube to watch them, too! Thanks again for all you share so that we can all enjoy and be like kids again, but a lot more sofisticated…ha:)

I use sharpies a little. I have a “Scentsy” that anyone can color with sharpies. Mine is beautiful. I just love it because along with being beautiful it was given to me by a dear friend just because she knew I loved to color. I’ll color just about anything.

Wow!!! Thank you soo much for the pages. I cant wait to get started on them. I love them all especially the ones i can fold and take with me. Will be perfect for work when I need a moment to decompress. But on to other things, one question, if you don’t mind, aside from Sharpies, what alcohol based markers are worth using? Like caliart or artify? Thank you again!!
