Watercolor Paper for Colorists
NOTE: this Watercolor Paper is not recommended for use in inkjet printers. Some customers have reported success printing on it, but the “sizing” (coating) on the paper that makes it water resistant can also resist ink from an inkjet printer. Use at your own risk. No refunds.
Want to see the difference true watercolor paper can make with your water-based media? The “Bliss Watercolor Paper” gives you 50 pages of my hand-picked favorite watercolor paper.
Great for use with Tombow Dual-Brush Pens, Jane Davenport Mermaid Markers, Crayola Super Tips, Derwent Inktense Pencils, Neocolors, Gelatos, Paul Ruben Paints, and many, many more!
Please check your home printer specs before purchasing the sampler to ensure your printer can handle the weight of this paper. (Steve’s Hint: instead of looking at the pounds, see if you can find the “GSM” or “GM2” your printer supports and match it up below.)

First watercolor paper that has ever worked in my laser printer – fantastic! This paper made all the difference when coloring with Tombow dual brush pens and other water-based media. Thank you Steve and Jennifer, for finally solving this age-old problem so beautifully. HINT – set the paper type to “ROUGH” on an HP Laserjet Pro for best results.

Thank you, Jennifer and Steve….this paper makes me unreasonably happy! It works perfectly in my printer, and sometimes I attach it to some light cardstock for a little more stability. The watercolor paper has sizing on one side (it’s a bit shiny) to prevent bleed through, even with my Blick markers! I love watching your live sessions and I am just beginning to explore the tutorials. I feel like we are old friends, with lil Rose to keep us all company. Thank you so much, keep up the great work and stay healthy. 😊

I really love this paper for watercolors. I’m using with my Daniel Smith tube paints and my watercolor pencils. Having great results with both. It handles the water so well. It’s good for painting details. I find myself more relaxed when using it. I think its become my go-to paper and I haven’t even tried it in the printer yet.

I ordered this paper specifically to use with tombows and water. I will say that I’m pretty picky when it comes to watercolor paper. It works fine with the tombows and the blender, but when I added water, the water seemed to pool up on the paper and not really spread the color from the marker. It did, however, feed through my printer perfectly with no issues. I have an HP 3600 series all in one which is an inkjet. This is the ONLY watercolor paper I’ve found already cut to 8.5 x 11 and it’s worth the price for that reason alone. This paper is great for water based markers, just don’t add water.

Tabitha, have you tried printing on the other side of the paper? We use water with the paper all of the time without the issues you describe…that’s why we have it, so you CAN use it with water. Try printing on the side where the textured ridges point up instead of down. Let us know if that works better.

Technically yes, but it does have a slight ivory color to it.
