Black Paper for Colorists
Have you tried coloring on black paper? It’s so much fun! Chances are that some of the coloring tools you have will look amazing on black (e.g. Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils, Metallic Gel Pens, Gouache, Some Crayola Crayons, etc.) The “Bliss Black Paper” gives you 50 pages of my hand-picked favorite black paper.
Great for use with Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils, Metallic Gel Pens, Neon Crayola Crayons, Arteza Gouache, and much more!
Disclaimer: not every coloring tool looks good on black, so it may take some testing on your part to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Also, not every printer will print well on black. The fact is, you won’t know until you try. So we would recommend first print testing a page or two of any black paper in your printer before purchasing this paper. For these reasons, we offer NO REFUNDS.
Please check your home printer specs before purchasing the sampler to ensure your printer can handle the weight of this paper. (Steve’s Hint: instead of looking at the pounds, see if you can find the “GSM” or “GM2” your printer supports and match it up below.)

Question
Michelle Burch –
I don’t think my printer will have a problem with the weight of the paper. I have purchased from you before. My question is how do you print on black? There isn’t a white ink that I’m aware of. I would LOVE to learn how to do that. I have an HP ENVY 7640 printer.

We’re printing black on black. You’re correct, there isn’t a white toner or ink available in home printers.

Michelle Burch –
So you can see the lines well enough on the paper to color?

Yes, we can on our printers. Steve says that one trick is to print the coloring page full color (even though the art is only black and white.) This will add a little more ink to the black lines to help them show up better. But before buying our paper, you may want to test your printer with any other black paper just to make sure you’re happy with the results.
