I love the pencils, the coloring sheets and the give aways!
I have thoroughly enjoyed working in my Prismacolor Tri-tone book. I’m a bit more than halfway through it and find myself seeing colors while we are out and about and knowing which colors go well with them! It really is worth the effort to go through the whole of these books to learn the pencils and the color combinations. I fall in love with each of my pencils as I swatch. My pencil set is all lined up starting with the tri-tone order. And of course, Prismacolors are a dream to work with.
I have never used Derwent Inktense (a bit expensive), but have seen many videos about how the activated colors are indeed intense due to the colors being ink. They look beautiful and I would be thrilled to own a set!

I just wanted to mention that the 90lbs Bee paper has changed and is now terrible. It’s pretty much just overpriced, pitted, unsized paper.
I’d like to know what you think of the Maruman New Soho series paper. Kristy Rice said it was actually a pretty good watercolor paper and I think it’s thin enough to run in a printer.

I don’t even know how I stumbled across this channel, but I have always loved to color. Just recently, like in the past month, I have discovered online coloring as a way to tackle anxiety attacks. I know that those sites aren’t “real” coloring, but I have been really enjoying all of the colors and noticing how different nuances of a color create shading and texture and all kinds of cool, crazy stuff. I have a feeling that I will be spending a lot of time (and possibly money on supplies to learn all about how colors work. Then I might use that color theory in my embroidery and knitting loom projects 🤔 😇🤗. I’m sure looking forward to it!

I absolutely love the laminated tri-tone color tag idea! I recently got a laminator [one of those childhood facinations] and I’ve been dying to find something that I HAVE to laminate! It really is a genius idea to put your swatches WITH your pencils in a beautiful colorful organized fashion! I forgot to ask/mention in my previous comment 🤦🏼♀️ if you’ve ever tried/attempted using a blending alcohol marker with the Intense pencils? I saw a video of Sarah Renae Clark literally yesterday where she used one and it seems to really help control where the color goes. I am sort of apprehensive to dedicate a blending marker to those pencils only, or atleast the nubs. Surely, you’d need to use atleast 2, one for warm and 1 for cool colors to help with muddiness. I thought it was an interesting use of the pencils though and was curious on your thoughts? Thank you again, you too Steve! 🥰♥️

When Derwent announced the introduction of the new colors, their original full set went on a really great sale, so I treated myself! I simply love the way you guys (and sweet Rose) teach us how to understand color with different mediums, but you guys also teach us How to color with the different mediums whether it be colored pencils, paints, watercolors, markers, etc…Also, you guys offer classes to us so that we can Learn how to better colorists. I have watched numerous YouTube videos of people who color, but they don’t offer classes on How to color better with different mediums.

I have been following you for 2 years. The majority of the time, I was a paid member. Just like with many others, times got extra tough financially. I’m a single mom of 2 kids (1 from each marriage). I have Multiple Sclerosis, Major Depressive Disorder, ADHF anxiety, hypothyroidism, etc. After my 2nd divorce, covid hit. I needed something to help my mental and emotional states. I was denied for disability since my 2nd ex allowed me to stay home with my kids. I haven’t worked in 14 years. Despite working full-time for over 10 years prior (and when my MS was diagnosed), I don’t have the required work credits to qualify for disability. I honestly cannot work, even from home. My speech and cognitive ability have declined drastically in the last 10 years (5 yrs especially). My dominant hand has 3 fingers that have lost all feeling since 2014. I have been frustrated with my medical problems and life in general. When I found you guys, I got motivated to try and get my hand to function again. I bought over 20 sets of colored pencils, gel pen sets, and markers. I also ordered several of the tri-tone workbooks, the color wheel and charts one, and coloring workbooks. I used the added perk to download most of your other tri-tone workbooks and swatch charts. I spent hours and hours watching all the fast-tracks and learning videos. It was my happy place. I can’t say it has helped my hand much, but I have tried using my other hand (it’s a super slow and frustrating process). I have learned so much from you. Though I can’t financially afford even the $5 membership, I still try to follow your YT videos and enjoy your weekly emails. Thank you for giving me something that brings me joy in a time that I feel like I’m drowning.
Loving the different ways of using the Inktense pencils. Never would have thought to use them like watercolour pencils.
