I’d like to see more videos on the actual process of coloring a page or coloring a subject. I’m not as interested in the zillions of different colored pencils, pens, markers, etc. being swatched and unboxed. Just my preference.
My favourite set is the portrait set. A really cute bunny! You would be able to do some fantastic portraits using these colours. All of the sets have unique colours that would enable you to create beautiful pictures.

I am having a hard time choosing a favorite set. I like that the pastel set has the rainbow of colors. Some sets lack either blues or reds, but the dark set looks very fun to work with, and I love the way the mushroom turned out!

I do so wish they were in a 15 set or at least being sold open stock. But because they don’t have a bar code on them makes me think they won’t ever be sold open stock. I really do hope Caran D’Ache makes a set with just the limited colors, or that the sell them as singles at least for a while. I sent them an email, I hope they listen.

I have been eyeing Neocolor 2 for so long now as they are a bit out of my budget. Glad to see they are coming out with more colours so that when I make the jump the decision will be easier! I have been really struggling with backgrounds and I have now accepted I must move into other media not just colour pencils in order to get pretty pages 😄

I agree with Steve on the Dark set of the Neocolor II special edition being the most desirable. Approx. $150 for 15 new colors is going to take a lot of thought before purchasing.

I liked all of the colours in the sets but I am also sad for those of you who have the full set and have to get repeating colours to get the new ones. My favorite set is the Dark set. I just might get that since I only have 6 colours os the traditional ones, I only bought them recently to try them open stock so would be incredible if I got this full set in the giveaway. I have been seeing a lot of Neocolor II used in coloring pages lately, both in facebook and in person and have been very impressed, so would love to try these out.
I’m not sure that Caran d’ache have artists or colourists at the forefront of their best intentions this time around. We don’t mind paying fair prices for quality supplies but this latest release smacks of them just seeing us as foolish cash cows. (it feels a little disrespectful to be honest)

I really like to look of the Neocolors. I don’t currently have any water soluble crayons or such. These would be lovely for backgrounds, which I tend to stay away from because using pencils isn’t the best option. Appreciate you giving a set as a giveaway.

I’ve been eyeing neocolor 2 for a long time and I’m crossing my fingers.
Have only recently started to build a small collection of Neocolor 11 and am loving them. After watching your You tube review of the special colours, I checked out the Caran D’Ache website, but it seems that there is no option to order these sets if we are from Australia – unless there is something I have missed on the website.
Addit to above comment: Loved your comparison review of Neocolor 1 v Crayola, Jennifer …….. your enthusiasm is ‘infectious’ (in a good way) – but now my wish list has expanded.

I only have a small collection of Neocolor 11 at present, but really loving them, so hoping to continue to gradually build up my set. Checked out the Caran D’Ache website, but they don’t seem to take orders from Australia, so not sure if we will have a chance to purchase any of those sets.
Love the colouring book you have produced as well, Jennifer – love the idea of having the small pics for practising shading and other techniques as well as trying out different mediums.

Would love to have a chance but I live in the UK. I only have a few neo colours as I simply don’t have the funds to buy a full set (my only income is disability allowance – not particularly generous!) So will be unable to purchase them all, as they tend to be far more expensive over here. Oh well, I can dream….
Anyway enjoyed finding out about them and also the Tim holz pencils in the
latest video. And no I won’t be considering them either – would rather get the Albert Durrer, again pipe dreams.

I love watching Jennifer….I always have. I love to color and although I am capable of doing complex colorings, I just prefer to do simple and quick pages because it’s more relaxing for me and I don’t have a lot of time. I love ‘full sets”, too. Having the options available contribute to the feeling of being ‘unlimited’ and that’s how I like to feel when I color.

The new colors are a fun addition to the line, I’m just bummed that they don’t plan to release them individually or as a set. I have been a fan of Caran de Arche and their products for years, and I don’t think it is fair to have to buy all these sets, and duplicate colors I own, to get the new ones. I appreciate your giveaway and showing the new colors in action.
