Luminance Naming Discrepancies
The following table shows the naming discrepancies between the Luminance pencil bodies and the official color charts. We suspect that the discrepancies are due to: changing the names of the colors but still selling out their old pencil stock; typos; and possibly mistranslations from French to English.

Goodmorning Bliss..This 72 year old loves your website, your enthusiasm.and your detailed reviews. Looking forward to pastel pencils and wondered if you have ever applied Liquitex Clear primer to your paper surface before pastel use? The Liquitex brand has a light “grit” that really cuts down on dust and secures the pastel more to the surface for more layers without needing fixative. It gives a Pastelmat type fine sanded surface without the big price tag. We roll it on with a fine/ultrafine little foam roller so there are no brush marks on your paper surface. Might be worth experimenting with, know you always like to try new things. Bless you for the light you bring into the world !

Hi, l have just found you on Youtube , loving your videos thanks for all you do.
Didn’t realize how much work it is to do the swatch charts. Till I did my Luminance chart. I’m a watercolor painter too, so I like my pencils to be in color wheel “order” 😊 so mine are a little different than your order. I like the tones and shades grouped with the color hue even if the color says something like sienna or umber, I put them in reds to oranges. THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing these for everyone!
