What are the best cheap colored pencils on Amazon in 2024? I tested 16 of the top selling colored pencil brands to find out! All of them cost less than $30US and many cost less than $20. Watch me unbox, swatch and test these budget friendly colored pencil brands, narrowing it down to the Top 3 Affordable Colored Pencils.
IMPORTANT NOTES: to ensure we were working with current pencil stock, we re-purchased all of these sets (even though we had some older sets.) Also, we were purposeful in only comparing these sets to each other and not to artist quality brands such as Holbein, Polychromos or Prismacolor. Had these gone up against those brands, they would have certainly lost. And finally, at the time we purchased these sets, the Arrtx brand was on our radar; however, the price for the 72 set was above $30US so they were not included. We checked today and they are below $30, which is a reminder that these cheap Amazon pencils can vary widely in price as they experiment with the pricing algorithm. We really like Arrtx and plan to do a follow up head to head video of Arrtx vs Artisto!

I’m so glad you do these videos for us!! It’s so much work! I commend you for it. I don’t think anyone takes coloring pencils and coloring as serious as you do! It truly is a labor of love!! I have no patience to do the color swatch charts. I
probably have 15 different sets of pencils and at least 4 sets of gel pens! It can be addicting buying all this stuff! I am so appreciative of all the swatches. I do have a couple of the sets you’ve tested and I agree with your findings! Keep up the good work! You go girl!
I watched your you tube video on cheap colored pencils. I would like to add one more to your ever-growing list but these pencils are only 14.99 for 72 pencils and have surprising great color. They are the ARTTRACK Coloured
pencils. I came across a add for SAWONLY Coloured pencils but when I went into Amazon the SAWONLY come up as ARTTRACK. I let My granddaughter use these because she loves to color but needs to sharpen her pencils every two minutes so these are perfect.
